William Andersen

William Andersen (Bill) was born in Denver Colorado on June 29th 1942 and traveled extensively with his family courtesy of the United States Air Force.  Bill developed a great love for music at a very early age and began playing trumpet in the 6th grade and singing in various choirs and groups throughout his life. Also playing and singing at First Baptist and community events/funeral’s.


Bill began attending Sunday school in Weisbaden Germany in 1957 and upon returning to the USA Bill accepted Christ at the Little Brown Church in Golden Colorado. Soon after Bill began taking his little sister Sandy to Sunday school in Arvada Colorado


In 1961 Bill graduated from high school and joined the United States Marine Corps, where he server as a Bugler in the 1st Intently Battalion 3rd Marine Division at Camp Las Pulgas Marine Base in Orange County California. Bill later also served as a prison guard in the Marine Guard Detachment at Pearl Harbor Naval Base on Oahu Hawaii.


In 1963 Bill married his beautiful wife Taimi, (in Hawaii) and they began their family. Bill and Taimi were Baptized together in San Jose California in 1978, and have been actively serving every since that time. They have 4 children and 9 grandchildren, all of whom profess a faith in Jesus Christ as their savior,


Bill and Taimi have been serving in various ministries at First Baptist Church for over 20 years, where Bill had been given the opportunity to serve as Director of Visitation and Chair for the Missions team. Currently Bill is serving as the Director of the Adult Senior Ministries and Taimi remains active in the Morning glory ministry a as a co-leader. Taimi also assists Bill in senior ministers and they are looking forward to serving together in these ministries, Bill has been active in teaching Gods word serving on the Elder leadership team and life group leader. Bill and Taimi are grateful to First Baptist and the lord for allowing them the opportunity to serve. Bills favorite verse is Psalms 1:1  1: 3
